Renick
Eric
Renick is the principle percussionist and artistic administrator
of the Chicago Arts Orchestra. He is currently a member
of the Chicago Civic Orchestra and performs regularly
throughout the Chicago area. Eric attended Butler University
where he received his Bachelor’s degree and was a winner
of the 2001 Concerto Competition. In 2002, he spent a
year in New Mexico where he and his quartet were awarded
an invitation to perform at the Percusssive Arts Society
International Conference based on their recording of John
Cage’s Third Construction. Eric also spent the year as
an extra with the New Mexico Symphony Orchestra.
He
received his Master’s degree from the Chicago College
of Performing Arts under the study of Ed Harrison, Ruben
Alvarez, and Paul Werticco. Eric is from Indianapolis,
Indiana and is extremely proud of his Hoosier heritage.
