Works of Survival: Music of the Holocaust
The Chicago Arts Orchestra once again offers a unique and rare musical experience to area schools. Works of Survival: Music of the Holocaust show-cases music that was banned by the Nazis (Entartete Musik) and music written in concentration camps; paying tribute to those who wrote music during one of the darkest periods in history. The Chicago Arts Orchestra will honor the music and musicians who were victims of the Holocaust and Nazi oppression. This performance is recommended for students in grades 7-12.
